HAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHA.
oh wells, i must praise stella for being smart because she's the first to guess it correctly that i'm going for the sia interview. (yes people you guys can laugh, is me going for the sia interview. LOL)
and all thanks to moy who's equally smart to think is actually a job interview which stella somehow or rather figure it out. lol. sometimes you got to admit facebook do wonders.
up to this moment, i still think is a little bit embarrassing. i was never slim enough, tall enough, pretty enough to go for the job. i've the lowest self esteem compared to my friends, i know exactly where i stand. somehow ♥ kept asking me to try. i think she needed someone to accompany her. HAHA. and i decided to go for it.
and of course i didn't get in (predictable), i was booted out in the second round.
carry on reading if you want to know how the whole interview process goes til i'm booted out. haha.
warning: wall of text. lol
alright the walk-in interview is like 9am and we reached at 8.30am and the crowd is overwhelming. trust me when i say the queue is like people going for singapore idol's audition. is that much and more than 50% of the girls/ladies/aunties population is there. very scary.
OH. i forgot bring my application form. HAHAHAHHA. I KNOW. VERY STUPID. luckily there's extra forms there. but i did ask my brother to help me print it out. so wasted! ):
and because i got no tape/glue to stick my photo on the application form. i thought of using plaster, my last resort, really. i don't want to show any bad impression by telling the registration people "i forgot to paste my photo/i forgot to bring my application form." HAHA.
but i never thought is possible until ♥ did it for me. she tore the plaster into half! powerful, love her ttm. nothing is impossible for her. LOL
okay. so queue, then hand in the application form, take height. yes i'm officially 1.60m. sad to say i shrunk ): then proceed to a meeting room and wait for your name to be called.
our names are called when we're in the toilet(we wait damn long in the meeting room), when we came back, the girls seated behind us were like damn sweet. they asked "are you XXX and XXX? they just called for you both and left the room already" we were like "ORHHHHH okay thanks" and ran off. HAHA.
so this the round 1.
2 interviewers to 10 applicants. just 1 question posted. what will you do if a customer spills water on you? so general answers everywhere, say is alright, excused yourself to dry, serve them the drink again. so basically everybody said the same thing.
after like 10 minutes results are out. in my group 3 were selected and 1 of them is me. the other group there was only 1. seriously, you don't know how they come up with the results. i wasn't even speaking normally. i don't think the other 2 speak extremely well as well. there's 1 malay girl who speaks with confident but didn't get in.
so ♥ decided to slack and wait for me downstairs while i went for round 2.
round 2 is skin check. they use a HUGE spot light/lamp to shine on your face and the interviewer ask you some questions while examining your face. HAHA. very funny i know. they they check your lower arms for scars and your back neck area.
i passed this stage(AGAIN, surprisingly) and proceed to another round which is game round. group in fours and suppose to play a memory game. like all cards covered, but at any 1 point only 2 cards can be seen and main point is to get 5 matching pairs. and our group won.
but this doesn't mean anything. den all of us have to wait outside again before going for 1-1 interview.
i was asked to
self-intro.
why want to work in sia?
working experience. if yes how to benefit to sia?
name a good or bad customer service you encounter be it you're the service provider or customer.
situational questions and read a small paragraph (oral)
if im not wrong, is the situational questions that shock me. i felt it was difficult.
1st - if this your first solo flight after training, meaning you're the most junior there, you saw a senior skiving, what will you do?
2nd - what if the one skiving is of supervisory position. what will you do?
then results. out of the 4, 1 get in. and that's not me. haha. the other group im not sure because after hearing i'm out i just left immediately. HAHA.
i wasn't exactly disappointed because i didn't expect to make it this "far". but i feel really wasted because
if i'm not wrong, the third round is kebaya fitting and probably another interview. if you pass that, you will be "invited" to their final 2 rounds of judging in another day.
after coming so far, i really wanted to try their uniform. maybe i won't fit and get booted out but at least can try the uniform right! tsk.
overall is really a very good experience. is like a once in a life time experience. haha. see so many girls desperate for the jobs (surprisingly, there's alot of guys too, malays especially don't know why).
after which, went far east and wisma alone to clear my shopping list! (: almost done :D bought my brother's present and my mortal's present:D didn't get to buy any bras and bff's gift exchange ):
ps: didn't get to see ah lian and her friend but i saw rebecca ang. HAHAHA YES REBECCA ANG! lol :D
